RQ Construction is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Barksdale AFB in Louisiana.
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes.
Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Ensure work is done in accordance with relevant codes
- Work involves technical application of electrical principles
- Implement required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values
- A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education
- Completion of a Union, private, military, or trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the-job work
- Four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level wireman in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred
- Valid electrician's license or journeyman card
- CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications
- Specific training or certificates in the following: Trenching and shoring training, Fall protection training, Confined space training, Forklift/Manlift training and certificate, Power actuated tools training and certificate, Lockout/Tagout training, Hot work training, Scissor lift/boom lift certificate, EM-385
Competitive hourly rate of $44.06, eligible for overtime
