About the Role

Catholic Health Service is seeking a skilled Echocardiogram Technologist to join our team. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiogram studies and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear explanations to patients regarding the test being performed.
  • Utilize two identifiers to verify patient identity.
  • Prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures.
  • Perform transthoracic echocardiographic examinations to determine the best modalities, techniques, and approaches for each patient.
  • Evaluate echocardiographic findings to recognize normal and complex congenital and pathologic conditions.
  • Calculate echocardiograph/Doppler data from examinations, including M-Mode quantification, ejection fraction, and Doppler calculation of valve gradients.
  • Request medical and nursing administration of echo contrast when necessary.
  • Maintain current educational status and mentor with assigned physician preceptors to enhance clinical skills.
  • Enter data into clinical systems and transmit results.
  • Maintain a clean and fully equipped examination area.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • ARDMS certification preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with patients.
  • Ability to stand, lift, push, and pull when necessary.
