About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dairy Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Dairy Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring our dairy and frozen cases are always stocked and clean, providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and Face Cases: Ensure all dairy and frozen products are properly stocked, faced, and organized to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize dairy cases, storage areas, and workspaces to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Rotate and Discard Products: Regularly inspect and rotate dairy products to ensure freshness and quality, discarding expired or spoiled items.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, assist with purchases, and provide product information and recommendations.
  • Receiving and Inspecting Products: Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
  • Point of Purchase: Monitor and maintain point of purchase signs, ensuring a variety of recipe cards, product coupons, and promotional materials are available.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge and preparation skills.
  • Department Maintenance: Regularly walk the department to ensure an organized, sanitary, and clean appearance.
Requirements
  • Age: Be at least 16 years old.
  • Dependability: Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized, with the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and walk up to 5 miles in an 8-hour shift.
