Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paint Technician to join our team at Reading Truck. As a Paint Technician, you will work under the direction of the Shop Foreman to perform work in painting, finishing, and maintaining interior and exterior structures of specialty truck equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sand manufactured products to prepare them for painting
  • Scrape surfaces of truck equipment to remove old coatings
  • Prepare truck bodies for paint application by cleaning and degreasing
  • Mix paint as needed for painting
  • Apply topcoat and undercoat paint as required
  • Clean spray guns, paint booth, and work area to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform final touch-ups to ensure quality assurance controls
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in paint and coatings
  • Prior experience with pot gun spray equipment and light sanding on large equipment or vocational vehicles preferred
  • Bed liner application experience preferred
  • Decal/wrap application experience preferred
