Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the dining hall, including requisitioning food and supplies, preparation, cooking, and serving of food, as well as direct supervision of staff. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requisition food and supplies, and ensure timely delivery
  • Prepare, cook, and serve food to high standards
  • Directly supervise staff, including instruction and coaching
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the dining hall and kitchen
  • Monitor food services operations to ensure high quality and efficiency
  • Work with vendors to seek out lowest prices on quality food and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of health code laws and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • One to two years of food service/preparation experience
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Management, Culinary, or related field
  • NRA Food Service Sanitation or equivalent/Safe Serve certification
  • Valid State Driver's License
