As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse with Ambe Healthcare Staffing, you will collaborate with a dynamic healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care in an acute care setting. This role requires a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, with a focus on promoting continuity of care and ensuring safe and optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to ensure seamless care transitions
- Direct the work of support staff in the provision of care
- Perform general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred
- Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN; must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required; new employees certify within three (3) months after hire date
- Current ACLS certification; new employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy
- Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward others
- Ability to communicate well verbally; must work effectively as a member of a team
- Basic computer knowledge
- Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment
- Knowledge of nursing practices as they relate to acute care
Working Conditions:
- Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7p-7a
- Must be currently active
- Minimum guaranteed hours: 36
