About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Yard Spotter to join our team at Ace Hardware Corporation. As a Yard Spotter, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers and equipment within our warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough safety and mechanical checks of trailers and equipment before movement.
• Operate a forklift to make up cross-dock loads and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Back trailers into designated spots and disconnect them, installing wheel chocks as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless trailer and equipment movement.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• CDL A Certification with Hazmat and Doubles endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving tractor/trailer combinations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and equipment standards.
