Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator to join our team at AMR. As an Ambulance Driver, you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for transportation, delivering high-quality care and treatment to patients, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to operation and dispatch requests, using necessary tools, maps, and addresses to efficiently transport patients to and from facilities.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete regular mechanical checklists, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Use appropriate communication methods, including standard radio transmission codes, to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company's information security standards.
  • Operate transportation equipment, including stretchers, hydraulic lifts, and wheelchairs, and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow drivers and operations team members.
Requirements
  • State Driver's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • CPR card
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
