Job Details

This is a 12-week contract position for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in the Operating Room at MUSC Health Charleston.

Shift and Schedule

The successful candidate will work 3x12-hour shifts, days, from 6:30am to 7pm. They will also be required to work one weekend shift every four weeks and be on-call up to four times every four weeks.

Job Requirements

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have at least two years of experience as a CST. First-timers are accepted, but certification in NBSTSA (not NCCT) and BLS are required. A radiation badge is also necessary, which must be provided by the agency.

Unit Specific Information

The Main Operating Room is located within a level-one, academic trauma center with 21 OR suites covering various surgical specialties, including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics.

Additional Details

The facility is open to accommodating block schedules, but requires manager approval. Local candidates are accepted, but will be considered on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate. RTO restrictions apply, and all RTO must be included at the time of submission. The facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks, which can be broken down to add up to one shift.
