Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Controls Service Technician to join our reputable building systems contractor that specializes in commercial projects across Connecticut.

Compensation:
Hourly rate ranging from $35 to $45.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Controls Technician, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients by programming temperature control systems in accordance with project specifications. Leveraging your expertise in the commercial HVAC sector, you will carry out installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance services on existing systems.

Key Duties Include:
1. Collaborating with clients to diagnose and resolve complex system issues, requiring a solid understanding of various electronic and digital control systems.
2. Conducting software tests across multiple programming languages.
3. Compiling necessary job documentation, including CAD drawings, preventative maintenance records, service tickets, and punch lists.
4. Engaging in assigned training sessions and undertaking extensive self-study to enhance technical knowledge of the company's product offerings.

Qualifications:
~ Experience with units up to 20 tons
~ Proficient knowledge of HVAC systems, control mechanisms, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm systems, and construction protocols.
