ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:
The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients within a hospital setting, which includes effectively planning and communicating educational information to patients and their families. Participation in unit-based educational initiatives is expected. Accurate and timely documentation is essential, adhering to both practice standards and hospital policies. The nurse will explain procedures and treatments to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation. RN I positions require no prior experience, while RN II positions necessitate six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in a hospital or equivalent, along with competency validation by the department manager.
QualificationsRequired:
- Active CA RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in a hospital setting (for RN II)
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior Med/Surg experience along with six (6) months of acute care experience
- ACLS Certification
- Familiarity with Det Norske Veritas (DNV) standards
