TCT Afterschool Educator

Miami Children's Museum Inc is seeking a qualified TCT Afterschool Instructor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general supervision and management of a class of students, planning and executing daily lesson plans, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children in their care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that correspond to the curriculum and schedule.
- Plan activities that foster exploration, investigation, and creativity in children.
- Monitor and document behavioral challenges and create incentive programs to minimize them.
- Extend language development and self-confidence through storytelling, drama, music, and conversations.
- Work closely with schoolteachers and afterschool certified instructors to support children's overall needs.
- Communicate with parents and supervisors on issues that need resolution.
- Attend and complete required trainings and in-service course work.
- Working toward an Associate's Degree or higher in education or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience leading groups of children in an educational setting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified and 45 DCF hours.
