Role Summary:
We are on the lookout for a proficient Imaging Engineer with a specialization in MRI technology to join our dedicated team. In this position, you will oversee the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of MRI imaging systems. Your collaboration with healthcare professionals will be vital in ensuring the MRI systems operate at peak efficiency, thereby supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the installation, calibration, and maintenance of MRI imaging systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of MRI equipment, including systems from leading manufacturers.
- Utilize remote diagnostics and testing protocols to swiftly address equipment issues.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance to uphold equipment reliability and adhere to manufacturer specifications.
- Employ various tools and technical documentation to carry out maintenance and repairs effectively.
- Engage with healthcare staff to assess their imaging requirements and provide tailored technical support.
- Stay informed about advancements in the industry and implement best practices in MRI management.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Consult with medical personnel to ensure the safe and effective operation of imaging equipment.
- Provide training to users on the proper operation and care of MRI systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and performance requirements during preventive maintenance.
- Carry out modality-specific tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7 years in MRI equipment maintenance and repair, with a focus on systems from major manufacturers.
- Strong technical expertise in MRI imaging technology.
- Proficient in remote diagnostics and various testing tools.
- Experience with multiple MRI systems from different manufacturers.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel as required to various healthcare facilities.
Work Environment:
- Dynamic schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Manage a broad geographical area necessitating frequent travel.
