Cargo Logistics Supervisor

Bow and Arrow Holdings, LLC is seeking a Cargo Logistics Supervisor to oversee and lead the cargo logistics operations in Brownsville. This critical leadership role demands a proactive self-starter with strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to make quick decisions in rapidly changing priorities without compromising safety.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and promote a safety-first culture within the team.
- Coordinate, plan, and lead functional teams to ensure efficient customer service in terminal handling and other provided services.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with customers, stakeholders, direct reports, employees, cross-functional departments, and third-party interests.
- Monitor and analyze performance, financial metrics, and customer satisfaction inputs.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews.
- Seek continuous improvement in operations through constant review, new tools and technology, and identification of inefficiencies or waste.
- Engage in training, skills development, mentoring, and fostering workforce excellence.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment managing a large workforce of 20 or more employees in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Experience in vessel cargo operations, warehouse, rail, construction, oilfield, offshore platforms, or refineries is advantageous.
- A degree in Maritime, Business, Engineering, Industrial fields, or a maritime background is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, motivational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to make quick decisions in rapidly changing priorities without compromising safety.
- Capable of identifying strong performers and positioning them for success while addressing underperformers through reinforcement, retraining, or replacement.
- Utilizes processes to standardize job functions, ensuring consistency and uniformity in repetitive operations.
- Must obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme heat, rain, wind, cold, and high humidity, during both day and night shifts.
- Frequent communication is required; must be able to talk and hear effectively.
- Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Continuous exposure to dust, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to high noise levels.
- Must be available to work on holidays and weekends as needed.
The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
