Overview

Join the dedicated team at Acadia Healthcare as a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in addiction recovery.

Shift:
Full-time/Night Shift: 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. OR Full-time/Day Shift: 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

(3-12 hour shifts with an every other weekend rotation)

Responsibilities

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Deliver nursing care and services in accordance with the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by state regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards all patients, prioritizing their safety above all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assess patient health and provide basic care using the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice to achieve care plan objectives.
  • Exemplify customer service expectations and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to address patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs, and resolve any complaints effectively.
  • Ensure patient comfort by implementing individualized nursing interventions as outlined in the care plan.
  • Utilize appropriate interventions to facilitate patient progress towards wellness and maintain their health.
  • Engage in discussions about care with patients, actively listening to their concerns, and report any changes in status to registered nurses and physicians.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, colleagues, and others involved in patient care.
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with established policies, physician orders, and current practices.
  • Uphold professional nursing standards in alignment with facility policies, external governing bodies, and performance improvement standards.
  • Document patient symptoms, responses, and progress accurately and thoroughly.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS:
  • Current LPN/LVN license as mandated by state regulations.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility guidelines.
