Position Overview

The Mammography Technologist plays a crucial role in performing specialized breast examinations, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases in female patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Radiologist in conducting intricate mammography procedures, including breast biopsies.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality imaging for radiological evaluation.
  • Educate patients regarding the mammography process.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
  • Deliver patient care that is both effective and compassionate, ensuring a focus on quality.
  • Foster a safe and supportive work environment for both staff and patients, adhering to national safety initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Possession of a valid state radiology registration as mandated by law.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Mammography Technologist is preferred, particularly in critical care settings.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology is required.
