About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for a Sub-Investigator role at our Birmingham location. Prior research experience is not required. The ideal candidate will be an actively practicing Nurse Practitioner with a passion for pediatric care and a willingness to refer eligible patients to research studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pediatric clinical research in accordance with established protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all pediatric participants involved in the study at our site.
  • Actively practice pediatrics and refer eligible patients to ongoing research studies.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Principal Investigator and research teams to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials.
  • Review and adhere to detailed study protocols provided.
  • Participate in monitoring visits and sponsor meetings as required.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation throughout the research process.
  • Ensure that all study-related documents, including consent forms, are approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide authorized personnel, such as monitors, auditors, IRB representatives, and regulatory authorities, with access to relevant research records.
Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner degree or Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Alabama.
  • Demonstrated experience actively practicing as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • A strong commitment to ethical research practices and patient safety.
