Job Title: Adjunct Instructor - Chemistry

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach evening sections of CH131 - College Chemistry at Mohawk Valley Community College.

Job Summary:

The Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for facilitating classroom instruction, teaching assigned classes in accordance with learning objectives, developing and maintaining syllabus materials, evaluating student performance, and maintaining professional standards that protect student confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach assigned classes in accordance with learning objectives
  • Develop and maintain syllabus materials
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Maintain grades, enter midterm and final grades
  • Respond promptly to student inquiries
  • Maintain attendance records according to MVCC standards
  • Integrate current and emerging instructional delivery technologies into the learning process
  • Maintain professional standards that protect student confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using discretion, patience, and courtesy
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in discipline
