Medication Aide

Crossroads Care Center of Kenosha is seeking a highly skilled Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Medication Administration: Follow current standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control when handling, storing, and disposing of medications.
- Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
- Resident Rights: Recognize the resident's right to refuse medication and notify the appropriate RN/LPN when making the decision not to administer medication or treatment.
- Order Clarification: Clarify any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective, or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed nurse (RN/LPN).
- Medication Cart Security: Secure medication cart and remove discontinued, outdated, or deteriorated drugs from inventory.
- Reporting: Recognize and report unsafe conditions for medication provision, accurately document medication provision, and recognize and report general reactions to medications.
Requirements: Must be CNA certified and listed on the TMU registry as having completed the Medication Aide program. CBRF Med Passers are not eligible. Hiring for PMS and NOC shift.
