Overview: The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Security Monitor to maintain a safe and secure environment within our facility. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise resident movement within the assigned unit or area, ensuring a secure and orderly environment.
  • Perform daily inspections and searches of resident sleeping quarters, as well as body searches as necessary.
  • Monitor eye drug testing and report any resident behavioral problems to the supervisor.
  • Collect urine samples for random and routine substance abuse screenings of residents.
  • Transport residents to out-of-facility appointments and supervise resident visitation.
  • Enforce facility rules of conduct with residents and maintain a positive relationship with them.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent and one year of general work experience.
  • A valid, active driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents and colleagues.
