About the Unit
The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit is a high-acuity 36 bed cardiac surgical unit that fosters continuous learning and develops high-level critical thinking and technical skills. Our team supports a culture of engagement and professional growth by encouraging participation in unit/organizational committees, councils, and other professional organizations.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in unit/organizational committees and councils
- Contribute to a culture of engagement and professional growth
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years
- Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months
- Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years
- 6+ months of inpatient RN experience preferred
