Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at Hire Talent. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database solutions to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Migration: Lead and execute cloud migration projects from On-prem SQL Server to Azure SQL, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime.
  • Database Security: Implement best practices for database security and compliance with data privacy regulations, incorporating access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Power BI Development: Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders' needs.
  • Custom Solutions: Develop and implement custom solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Database Administration: Perform essential database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
  • ETL Process Development: Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory or other tools to integrate data from diverse sources into the database seamlessly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to optimize and streamline data transformation pipelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues efficiently using Azure Insights, Monitoring, DMVs, Query Store, etc.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation, strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts, experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction, knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations, familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently and as a part of a team, adaptability to changing business requirements.
