Dining Room Host

We are seeking a Dining Room Host/Hostess to join our team at D-H Lebanon-MHMH. As a key member of our Nutrition Services team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our residents and their guests.
Responsibilities:- Assume responsibility for management functions in the absence of the Dining Room Manager.
- Create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests.
- Follow established style and order of service while serving in the main dining room and at special functions.
- Follow all safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for residents, self, and staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety procedures and assist with evacuation of residents in the event of an emergency.
- Cooperate with staff of other departments in performing job duties.
- Inform the Manager of Resident Services of issues impacting operations and the company.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and take active steps to minimize guest complaints.
- Direct daily activities for wait staff.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 1 year of Host/Hostess experience.
- Demonstrated ability to direct and manage personnel strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to follow instructions, work well with others, and maintain a good rapport with residents.
- Maintain excellent relations with residents and close working relationships with other supervisors and department heads.
This role requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for 3 1/2 or 8-hour shifts.
- Carry and balance a 10-15 pound tray.
- Frequent stooping and bending.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving a minimum of 30-pound cart.
This role is located at The Woodlands, our independent living facility.
