About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and applying necessary restraints.
  • Assist the physician during procedures, including passing instruments, monitoring the patient's vital signs, and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Monitor and maintain the patient's safety and well-being during the procedure, reporting any concerns or issues to the physician.
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the cath lab, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a cath lab setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and protocols
