Position Summary:
This role acts as the primary resource for periodic profit and cash flow budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis for the polypropylene (PP) sector within the North American Olefins and Polyolefins division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the financial planning authority with comprehensive knowledge across various PP product lines and facilities.
  • Coordinate, consolidate, and analyze substantial portions of the annual sales, production, and cost budgets, acting as a vital liaison for all budget-related matters.
  • Provide expert guidance on General Ledger/SAP accounting issues, ensuring accurate assignment of costs and revenues.
  • Engage with senior management and operations teams to facilitate financial support and strategic insights.
  • Conduct monthly forecasting and planning for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly segment analyses.
  • Collaborate with the Joint Venture accounting team and business leadership to identify key financial drivers and translate this information into business forecasts.
  • Lead quarterly meetings to prepare senior executives for Joint Venture Board meetings.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues related to cost and revenue assignments.
  • Work with business units to identify and measure key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage working capital for the business unit and conduct monthly financial analyses along with ad hoc performance assessments.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required; however, high-potential candidates with less relevant experience may be considered. An MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent credentials are preferred.

Experience:
At least 8 years of experience in a complex, multi-entity global environment is required. Experience in the petrochemical industry is advantageous. Proficiency in ERP and financial planning systems (SAP, Oracle, BPC, OneStream) is essential.

Skills:
Strong analytical and evaluative skills are necessary, along with a thorough understanding of financial and manufacturing accounting principles (US GAAP and IFRS). Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work effectively within teams and achieve results through collaboration. Proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills is essential for engaging with senior management and executives. Advanced PC skills, including spreadsheets and statistical modeling, are necessary. The ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvements is critical. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, particularly in mentoring and project planning, are expected.
