As a Logistics Manager at Sportsman's Warehouse, you will oversee all logistical aspects of incoming and outgoing freight. This includes receiving all incoming merchandise quickly and with a high degree of accuracy, working closely with Accounts Payable to resolve billing questions, and keeping accurate and up-to-date records on store-to-store transfers, vendor returns, customer returns, and all customer phone orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming merchandise with attention to detail and accuracy
Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment
Maintain accurate records of store-to-store transfers, vendor returns, customer returns, and customer phone orders
Ensure the Receiving Department is clean and organized, with a focus on efficiency and productivity
Ship out, obtain, and manage credit for returned merchandise
Work closely with Department Managers to resolve in-house receiving issues
Schedule outgoing Less Than Load shipments with the Transportation Department
Requirements:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong math skills and problem-solving abilities
Good organizational skills and ability to lift heavy objects
High school diploma or equivalent recommended
Physical Requirements:
This position involves a variety of physical activities, including talking, hearing, sitting, standing for multiple hours, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required for analyzing records. Travel may be required for training purposes.
