Mission:
This role involves supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office, a government initiative focused on Army Air and Missile Defense systems, particularly in Mission Command systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government personnel, and system operators.
- Develop system-level features that articulate MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria essential for guiding software implementation.
- Lead reviews and address feedback regarding the features.
- Utilize a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to document features within an Agile workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and either reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
- Significant experience in system engineering is required.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Progressively complex experience in the design, integration, and analysis of military electronics, computer networking, super-minicomputers, microcomputers, and digital and graphic display systems is necessary.
- Must be able to obtain or already possess a U.S. Top Secret security clearance, with potential for higher classification levels.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of progressively complex experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated initiative and teamwork capabilities in a small team environment are essential.
- Experience in system engineering supporting DoD programs, particularly in Army Air and Missile Defense, is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience in creating models using Cameo or MagicDraw with SysML and UAF is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence, along with SAFe Agile experience, is a plus.
