Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of children through nutrition? Become a vital part of our community as a Prep Cook at The Learning Experience. In this role, you will play a significant part in shaping children's growth and development by providing education on healthy eating and balanced diets. You will foster a collaborative and supportive environment, helping everyone to flourish.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare nutritious meals tailored to children's dietary needs.
  • Ensure the safety of all children by meticulously tracking food allergies and communicating any concerns to staff daily.
  • Follow stringent food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols to guarantee proper food storage and management.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to procure necessary food supplies and maintain accurate inventory records as required by local and state regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive demeanor towards parents and children, while effectively communicating their needs.
  • Exhibit adaptability to meet the dynamic requirements of a childcare environment.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • Possession of a food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $500, along with benefits including childcare, learning and development opportunities, and paid time off.
