Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our team at Recaro Aircraft Seating Americas, Inc. as a key member of our engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects related to IFE/Electrical or Actuation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned electrical engineering work to ensure compliance with applicable Airframe requirements, IFE supplier requirements, customer requirements, and accepted engineering practices.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and project participants.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the electrical design and integration of electronics into aircraft seats, including coordination with Designers, Design Engineers, and Project Engineers.
  • Plan, schedule, and track engineering tasks, providing detailed reports to Program Management and Engineering Management.
  • Summarize technical customer requirements, communicate them to the team, and ensure customer expectations are being met.
  • Create Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Grounding Bonding Calculations (ELDs) through the review and interpretation of IFE/Electrical Vendor testing procedures and testing hardware.
  • Complete root cause analysis on MRB (Material Review Board) actions and present resolutions to the Engineering, Quality, and Operations Departments.
  • Interface with outside suppliers (IFE/Electrical) during the design process and effectively participate in telecoms with overseas engineers and program management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering with 2-7 years of experience or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the design, integration, and certification of Electrical Components installed in Aircraft interiors is required.
  • Advanced knowledge about aircraft documentation systems for after sales (CMM, SB) and aircraft configuration control systems is desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, with multicultural exposure being a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in CATIA V5 and electrical design/wire routing modules within CATIA V5 or similar program is required.
  • Knowledge of PLM based database systems such as Teamcenter, Agile, or Enovia is required.
Preferred Skills
  • Good understanding of software programming and software configuration control is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
