Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a minimum workload equivalent to four 3-credit courses (12 contact hours) each semester, in person, but may be a maximum of 28 contact hours total across the two semesters when labs are included.
  • Advise up to 25 students.
  • Attend department, school, and college meetings.
  • Participate in accreditation and assessment processes.
  • Engage in professional development, scholarship, research, and/or publishing.
  • Assist in curriculum development.
  • Participate in department, school, and college service.
  • Maintain and post regular office hours.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in the engineering field, candidates with Civil/Environmental, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or interdisciplinary degrees are encouraged to apply.
  • Evidence of professional experience and/or ongoing scholarly activities that enhance teaching and deepen knowledge base in subject areas, and can involve students.
  • College-level teaching experience, with evidence of innovative methodologies in the classroom and laboratory.
  • Experience with ABET accreditation is valued.
  • Desire to work in a student-centered, teaching-oriented institution.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

This is a full-time, ten-month position with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options. The college also provides a generous paid time off policy.
