Welder B Job Description

We're Watts, a leading brand in water solutions, and we're looking for a skilled Welder B to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you'll play a crucial role in creating high-quality components and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on subassemblies and components with precision and accuracy.
  • Lay out parts and subassemblies according to specifications, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Inspect all welds for accuracy and repair any defects, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Fabricate and modify parts, equipment, and other items required for shop operations, showcasing your creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Coordinate with inspection to approve parts and close work orders, ensuring timely completion.
  • Clean and inspect equipment to ensure functionality, and report any needed repairs, demonstrating your attention to detail.
  • Follow standard procedures and adhere to safety protocols, prioritizing your safety and the safety of your colleagues.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating your commitment to education and personal growth.
  • At least one year of welding experience, showcasing your expertise and skills in the field.
  • Proficiency in reading tape measurements and performing mathematical calculations for cutting accuracy, highlighting your analytical skills.
  • The ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, diagrams, and other printed instructions, demonstrating your adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with a variety of welding concepts, practices, and procedures, showcasing your knowledge and expertise.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
