Job Description

The primary duties of this role include:

  • Fiber Splicing and Activation: Setting up and balancing electronics to meet precise specifications, working collaboratively with colleagues to complete job tasks within established timeframes.
  • Daily Maintenance: Checking vehicle fluids, cleaning, and organizing vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
  • Construction Assignments: Safely operating bucket trucks to complete daily construction tasks as needed, sometimes requiring extended ladder use.
  • Worksite Setup and Compliance: Establishing and maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Submitting daily production reports, marking maps, tracking work hours, and creating "as-built" maps for completed areas.
  • Materials Reconciliation: Daily reconciliation of issued parts and materials to maintain accurate material usage counts.
  • Ongoing Training: Engaging in continuous education and training to support professional growth and advancement in either technological innovations or role progression.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in fiber splicing.
  • The ability to identify network design issues and implement solutions as needed.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network and powering issues.
