As a home health Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, delivering rehabilitative services and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive essential medical care in the comfort of their homes.


Key Responsibilities of the Speech Therapist:
- Conduct home visits to clients within assigned regions.

- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate, diagnose, and implement therapeutic interventions for clients facing challenges with speech, language, communication, or swallowing.

- Create a tailored treatment plan based on evaluations, physician directives, and established goals.

- Regularly assess and modify the speech therapy care plan, collaborating with BAYADA clinicians on the multidisciplinary care strategy as necessary.

- Provide education and guidance to patients, family members, or other representatives regarding rehabilitative care and activities essential for promoting the client's health, safety, and independence.

- Maintain accurate documentation of observations, interventions, and evaluations related to patient care management and services provided, utilizing advanced electronic tools.


Qualifications for the Speech Therapist:
- A valid license as a Speech Therapist in North Carolina.
- Possession of a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or;
- Equivalent educational qualifications as demonstrated by academic transcripts or diplomas, along with relevant work experience necessary for certification, and actively awaiting the opportunity to take the certification examination from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or;

- Completion of the requisite educational and work experience requirements, as indicated by academic transcripts or diplomas, and currently accumulating the necessary supervised work experience for certification.

- Proficient computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
