CFG has an immediate need for a Primary Care Physician. This position provides an excellent opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in corrections, emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or family medicine. The working hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM.

  • Arrive at the assigned facility punctually to assess referred patients.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of on-site chronic care clinics.
  • Collaborate with community medical providers to address service delivery challenges for patients.
  • Act as the primary care physician, coordinating both on-site and off-site healthcare needs.
  • Supervise clinical services provided by both professional and support staff.
  • Conduct patient visits in the medical unit and document encounters using the SOAP format.
  • Ensure all verbal or telephone orders are countersigned within seventy-two (72) hours.
  • Utilize in-house resources for treatment or resolution of identified issues before considering off-site referrals.
  • Provide emergency care on-site and respond effectively to urgent situations.
  • Maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Take responsibility for individual clinical judgments and actions.
  • Adhere to standard precautions during any invasive procedures or specimen handling.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and uphold the right to privacy in accordance with accepted practices for incarcerated individuals.
  • Comply with the security protocols of the facility.
  • A medical degree (M.D./D.O.) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must hold a valid medical license and be CDS certified.
  • Willingness to obtain a DEA-X certification within six weeks of employment.
