The Role

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Enterprise Security Advisor/Architect to concentrate on Information Protection (including Endpoint DLP, ITM, CASB, Web, Isolation) for prominent organizations across North America. This position will spearhead presales discovery and strategic planning sessions with senior executives in large enterprises. Your extensive expertise will guide clients on how to effectively integrate their existing technologies with Proofpoint's solutions to achieve their Information Protection objectives. This role is pivotal in driving our ambitious goals related to market presence and product adoption.

Your Responsibilities

  • As an essential member of the Proofpoint sales force, engage with both existing and potential clients through various communication channels.
  • Facilitate and lead presales discovery and planning workshops with clients throughout North America.
  • Establish rapport, trust, and credibility with clients and partners, who will depend on your insights to navigate significant cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Occasionally represent the company at industry conferences and trade events.
  • Provide valuable client feedback and real-world insights to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to enhance our solutions.
  • Develop expertise in SaaS Protection and other security domains, staying informed about the threat landscape and adversarial tactics.
  • Contribute to resolving one of the most significant challenges facing IT in recent decades.

Qualifications

  • Over 6 years of experience as a senior sales/systems engineer or as a practitioner involved in planning or executing Information Data Protection and/or Insider Threat initiatives.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for executive-level interactions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various cybersecurity domains, including advanced threats, threat mitigation, data protection, cloud security, malware defense, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with networking architecture, TCP/IP protocols, and network components (such as firewalls, routers, proxies).
  • Understanding of current cybersecurity tools, including information data protection, DLP, Insider Threat, advanced malware detection, SIEM, and forensic solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • A passion for working with clients and assisting them in overcoming their challenges.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP are highly preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity.
