ASL Interpreter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team at Kelly. As an ASL Interpreter, you will work with clients from various industries, including medical, financial, and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret live on video for inbound calls
  • Work with clients from diverse backgrounds and industries
  • Provide exceptional training and certifications
  • Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
  • Demonstrate linguistic competence in ASL and English
  • Employ good customer service and communication skills
  • Understand protocol and terminology in healthcare, government, and education
  • Provide clarification and cultural brokering using excellent judgment
Requirements:
  • National current "RID" certification
  • Ability to comply with healthcare safety standards, protocols, and procedures
  • Excellent receptive and expressive sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign skills
  • Excellent listening, retention, critical thinking, and self-monitoring skills
  • Home access to the Internet
  • State licenses held where required, willingness to obtain additional licensing
