Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, ED techs, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive care and support.
  • Assess and manage patients with a range of acute and critical conditions, including cardiac and stroke emergencies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required.
  • Previous Emergency experience or Critical Care experience within the last 2 years preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within sixty days of hire, and maintained as current thereafter.
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve months of date of hire.
  • National Institutes of Health Strokes Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of date of hire.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within twelve months of date of hire.
