Job Title: HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at J&W Heating and Air. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on residential heating and cooling systems, working with a crew on general parts changing and maintenance, and completing in-home maintenance calls on HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on residential heating and cooling systems
  • Work with a crew on general parts changing and maintenance
  • Complete in-home maintenance calls on HVAC equipment
  • Establish customer rapport and communicate effectively with customers
  • Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
  • Understand sales criteria and exceed revenue goals
  • Demonstrate professionalism and knowledge to earn referrals and gain repeat business
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure the business's overall success
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats
  • Submit invoices, time cards, curbside feedback, and options sheets
Requirements:
  • Experience with maintenance of HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to make on-the-job applications
  • Proven track record in heating and cooling systems
  • Continued education and training to obtain NATE certification
  • Clean, safe driving record
  • Groomed, neat appearance
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • High integrity with advanced social skills and the ability to make solid connections
  • Motivated, self-starter who's flexible and has a great attitude in life
  • Complete service calls in a timely manner, treating customers and employees with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatcher, and sales
  • Participate in the normal rotation of after-hours and weekend standby duty
  • Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
