Job Summary

This full-time position offers an estimated annual salary of $85,000, based on industry standards and experience. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles, practices, and current trends, with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Deliver exceptional care to patients through collaboration with colleagues, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure patient safety by adhering to policies and procedures, providing support for pain management, and mobilizing resources as needed.
  • Communication: Assess patient needs, provide information, and offer coping mechanisms to both patients and their families.
  • Discharge Planning: Formulate and document discharge plans that maximize patients' ability to continue meaningful life activities.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey or participation in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Certifications: TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ACLS, NRP, and PALS, depending on the assigned unit.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, carrying objects, talking, and hearing. Sensory requirements include accurate 20/40 vision, color discrimination, and accurate depth perception. Anticipated occupational exposure risks include bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, airborne communicable disease, and dust/particulate matter.

Candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment physical and obtain an annual flu vaccine prior to starting employment. Capital Health is committed to maintaining a safe working environment and expects all employees to adhere to strict infection control protocols.
