The Opportunity

This role involves working as a Float Medical Assistant, supporting patients with their preventive, chronic, and acute care needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing trusting relationships with patients and their families through effective communication and support
  • Capturing relevant patient information while rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing standard assessments
  • Assisting with post-visit care coordination, including scheduling appointments and sharing information with the patient's care team
  • Collaborating with providers to monitor patient health and ensure up-to-date preventive measures
  • Participating in daily practice operations, such as answering phone calls and ensuring clinical space maintenance
  • Providing patient education on chronic disease management and coaching using motivational interviewing techniques
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or patient-facing roles in healthcare settings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working on collaborative teams and adapting to change
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing and software navigation
