About the Role

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in the coordination, preparation, and compilation of statistical and financial data of various SIH business activities, operations, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
  • Maintain all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files, and other documents as required.
  • Promote a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department-based programs that support the system's process improvement goals.
  • Actively participate on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.
  • Ensure continuity of productivity monitoring and reporting system by managing data input from various sources, verifying data is properly loaded and accurate, and reports are distributed on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and compilation of statistical and financial budgets and forecasts for operations for SIH and all its divisions.
  • Perform selected financial analysis projects as requested by the System Director of Finance.
  • Assist others in preparation, development, and monitoring of business plans, ROIs, Certificate of Need Applications, decision support analyses, and other items as needed.
  • Support the corporate Patient Support Initiative program by verifying patient data submitted by participating physician providers, validating third-party payment rates, and processing requests for payments.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and compile statistical and financial data and distribute reports as appropriate of various system business activities, operations, and services.
  • Design, compile, and monitor the accounting and reporting of results of selected service lines and/or joint ventures.
  • Provide support to the SIMS Director of Finance and other Financial Analysts as needed.
  • Consult with department directors to identify and control departmental variances.
  • Review monthly financial performance and identify and communicate budget and productivity variances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Technical Experience: Five years.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
