Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
  • Apply and develop advanced methodologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts related to EW algorithms and embedded processing for real-time systems.
  • Provide flight test and field support, offering unique insights into the importance of our EW products to the warfighter.
  • Develop inventions and innovations of new products and technologies, from architecture and design through integration, lab test, field test, and system verification.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplined team with experienced engineers providing mentoring and support.
  • Use modular design approaches and/or agile software development techniques for high-quality, supportable software systems.
  • Maintain Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship status is required for access to US-only data systems.
  • Work onsite at Goleta, CA, with relocation eligibility and occasional travel to off-site facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software design, development, integration, and testing using C/C++ or similar.
  • Experience with real-time embedded microprocessor system development, system-on-a-chip software design, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, signal analysis, and signal generation.
  • Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or bare metal operation systems in real-time applications.
  • Experience with software algorithm development and lab testing using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and system-on-a-chip debugging tools.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date, with U.S. citizenship required for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with interfaces and bus standards such as VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, or Gb Ethernet.
  • Experience developing software products for Radar or Electronic Warfare domains.
  • Digital/analog signal processing design skills working with ADCs and DACs, real-time high-speed data analysis.
  • Knowledge or experience designing with Xilinx or Intel FPGAs or similar products.
  • Possess skills to handle fast-paced and dynamic product development environments, including engagement with systems and electrical engineers.
  • Experience working closely and directly with customers.
  • Experience with machine learning and advanced signal processing and simulation.
