Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Developer to join our agile team at Saxon Global. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality features and functionality for our customer-facing applications.

You will have the opportunity to work across multiple products and layers, collaborating with a highly collaborative and quality-focused team. We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technical excellence.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry. Additionally, they should have knowledge of multi-threading concepts, TCP/IP, database, and REST-based JSON APIs. Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Git, and JUnit is also required.

We are looking for a team player who can contribute to all aspects of the development lifecycle and is vocal, committed, and passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new features in an iterative manner, working collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality applications.
  • Modify and enhance existing software to add or change features, while continuously improving the codebase.
  • Participate in the estimation of work to be done as part of an overall agile process.
  • Coordinate application implementation and test functionality to ensure specifications are met.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in commercial software development.
  • History of publishing native mobile apps.
  • Knowledge of UI testing and continuous integration.
  • DevOps knowledge, including Jenkins and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Angular 2+ experience.
  • Working knowledge of TDD and pair programming.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical skills, including Java 8, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a larger development team.
  • Experience with the scrum process.
