The Nurse Educator Level III is a Registered Nurse responsible for System-wide Professional Development. This role requires a deep understanding of nursing theory and serves as a clinical resource and exemplary model within the area of expertise. The Nurse Educator Level III fulfills organizational responsibilities aligned with the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) roles, including:
Core Responsibilities- Caring Science: Cultivates a culture of compassion and caring, implementing Caring Science principles in nursing practice.
- Learning Facilitator: Utilizes educational design processes to address knowledge and skill gaps identified through assessments.
- Change Agent: Drives transformation in processes through initiative and the adoption of change.
- Mentor: Contributes to the professional growth of others and promotes lifelong learning.
- Leader: Influences interprofessional practice and learning environments.
- Champion for Scientific Inquiry: Promotes the generation and dissemination of new knowledge to enhance nursing practice.
- Advocate for NPD Specialty: Supports and demonstrates nursing professional development as a specialty.
- Partner for Practice Transitions: Aids in the transition of healthcare team members across various roles and environments.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.
Licensing: Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, along with ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible nursing experience, including at least one year as a Nurse Educator or equivalent, is required.
