Cake Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team at T&R Market. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for designing and decorating cakes according to customers' specifications and preferences.

• Design and decorate cakes in various styles to meet customer demands.
• Fulfill customer requests and customized cake orders in a timely manner.
• Determine cake prices based on design requirements.
• Provide suitable cake design and decoration options to customers.
• Maintain an inventory of cake decorating items and ingredients.
• Ensure artistic and appealing cake designs.
• Check the shelf life of cake decoration products, colors, and accessories.
• Use decorating and modeling techniques and tools to create intricate designs.
• Check and place decoration product reorders with suppliers and vendors.
• Perform general cleaning duties.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Greet and communicate politely with customers.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information.
• Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
• Function as a team member and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
• Adhere to daily work schedules.
• Work weekends, any shift, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

• Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting.
• Move, lift (minimum height of 4' on a regular basis), and carry a minimum of 50lbs.
• Walk, stand, climb ladders, be on feet the entire shift.
• Push/pull a loaded stock cart.
• Demonstrate above-average manual dexterity.

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous industry experience is also preferred. A N.M. Food Handlers Permit is required and will be certified. The minimum age requirement is 18. Navajo speaking is preferred.
