POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Sales Trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive sales training to new Planning Advisors within the organization. This role involves conducting educational sessions that cover essential sales techniques, ethical practices, and methods for achieving sales targets, ensuring that new hires are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in their roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates training sessions focused on enhancing sales performance, addressing topics such as effective selling strategies, product insights, pricing structures, and company policies.
  • Designs and implements soft skills training for Planning Advisors, incorporating role-playing exercises, cold calling techniques, and operational education.
  • Organizes and develops training materials, including manuals, guides, and resources required for effective training delivery.
  • Continuously assesses training effectiveness, ensuring content remains engaging and relevant, and makes improvements as necessary.
  • Collaborates with the Training Manager to identify areas for enhancement in training programs.
  • Independently manages the logistics of training sessions based on the established curriculum.
  • Provides on-the-job training in the absence of a Field Sales Manager.
  • Educates new Planning Advisors on the technical aspects of their roles.
  • Instructs new hires on the specifics of the Forest Lawn Security Agreement program, including property exchanges and knowledge of various property types.
  • Conducts property tours for new Planning Advisors to familiarize them with each Forest Lawn location.
  • Tracks and maintains records of new Planning Advisors' progress throughout their training.
  • Evaluates the performance of each Planning Advisor on the training material and communicates findings with the Training Manager and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Assists with basic technical issues related to computers and mobile devices for both new and existing Planning Advisors.
  • Travels to various Forest Lawn locations to provide on-site training as required.
  • Oversees all aspects of the initial four-week training program, ensuring consistency across sessions.
  • Ensures compliance with wage and hour regulations for new Planning Advisors in training.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or a minimum of three years of experience in outside sales training or field training.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in delivering standard training programs in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Ability to present information effectively to maintain trainee interest.
  • Familiarity with smartphone functionalities, including application management and troubleshooting.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Results-driven and business-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel to all Forest Lawn locations and partner sites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Life Insurance License must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive, supportive, and motivating attitude.
