Job Summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator II to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of military medicine and make a meaningful impact in the field of clinical research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen patients for eligibility in participation of research protocol(s) and review patient medical records to assist with participant identification and enrollment.
  • Obtain informed consent and provide education about the research study, roles, and other vital information to participants.
  • Interview participants regarding medical history and collect questionnaire data based on self-report and medical record review.
  • Collect and process blood specimens according to established procedures and implement SOPs, research protocols, and policies for all assigned research projects.
  • Assist with regulatory submissions and actions as needed, perform data entry for research projects, and ensure that data is entered for analysis in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Maintain laboratory standards and inventories in accordance with good laboratory practices and interface with various clinic providers and administrative personnel.
  • Adhere to legal, professional, and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy and assure that protocol requirements are achieved within good clinical practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required
  • Knowledge of federal and local regulations and policies pertinent to research involving human subjects
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques necessary for performing research tasks and ability to learn and become proficient in data acquisition and research responsibilities related to research protocols
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively and to collaborate with individuals of all levels
  • Experience in phlebotomy or other blood-related procedures is preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of oncology experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust
Work Environment

This position will take place primarily in a Clinic setting. Some HJF employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination or an approved religious or medical accommodation will be required.
