Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our community facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all janitorial services, including cleaning common areas, offices, hallways, and restrooms, to maintain a high degree of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Operate janitorial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers, to maintain the community floor buffers and other areas.
  • Assist with making-ready unit turns, including painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning, to ensure units are available for occupancy.
  • Participate in basic ground services, including trash and debris removal, sweeping of walkways, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Assist Maintenance Staff as needed and report to Maintenance Supervisor, Community Manager, and EHDOC for all duties described herein.
Requirements
  • One (1) year experience in janitorial work.
  • Verbal and written language skills in primary language of the property location.
  • Understanding and consideration of the type of circumstances associated with working with the elderly and handicapped.
  • Ability to take initiative in performing duties and work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions

This role will be responsible for janitorial duties at three properties. The Janitor will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods is required.
