Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring budgets, minimizing overtime, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and implement sales plans, promote generic utilization, and control inventory to optimize pharmacy operations.
  • Lead the pharmacy team to achieve warehouse utilization goals, reduce overstock, and ensure proper ordering and inventory record keeping procedures.
  • Comply with corporate mandated controlled substance operating procedures and monitor third-party profitability.
  • Schedule pharmacy staff to control labor costs, maintain records, and direct the team to meet budgeted goals.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback to ensure high-performing team members.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflict, and act with honesty and integrity.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Ph.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy.
  • 2+ years related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • License must be in good standing, and proven leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions, write routine reports, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Commitment to preserving confidentiality and willingness to continue education as necessary.
