Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Automation Technician to join our team at Knipper HEALTH. As a Pharmacy Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the setup and safe operation of designated production equipment in our KnippeRx Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up, adjust, and maintain sachet creation machines and packaging lines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Material Management: Maintain levels of raw materials, including drug product, across multiple hoppers on each machine to ensure they are running at capacity and to minimize defects.
  • Quality Control: Identify defects and make appropriate changes to prevent ongoing waste and ensure compliance with Quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform troubleshooting, making minor repairs where needed, and escalate more complicated equipment problems to Production Mechanics.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with Production Mechanics by providing a summary of the issue and trouble-shooting steps already taken, and communicate any downtime to Management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • License: State-specific Pharmacy Technician License, or commitment to complete the 'technician in training' requirements approved by the state-specific Board of Pharmacy, within 6 months of hire date.
  • Experience: One (1) year of previous specialty pharmacy technician experience with exposure to fulfillment of prescription orders, or one (1) year of pharmacy operations or logistics experience.
  • Certification: Nationally certified through the PTCB or another approved certifying agency.
Physical Demands
  • Location: 100% inside.
  • Noise and Vibration Exposure: Yes.
  • Physical Abilities: Reaching (overhead), handling, and feeling; stand, bend, stoop, and sit for prolonged periods of time; lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
